Malcolm and Jenny welcome you to Peperstiche. Located on the edge of Crondall, overlooking farmland, Peperstiche is only a short walk to the centre of this beautiful village. You could easily forget that Peperstiche is just a few miles from junction 5 of M3, making it an ideal location for easy access to London, Farnborough, Fleet and Reading. Crondall, one of the prettiest villages in Hampshire, and mentioned in the Domesday Book, contains buildings dating back to the Tudors. The Hampshire Arms and the Plume of Feathers both have great reputations for food. Oliver Cromwell is reputed to have stayed the night at 'The Plume' on Wednesday 8 October 1645 when returning to London from Winchester. (We were full that night!) The Parish Church has been called the 'The Cathedral of North Hampshire' and was built in the second half of the 12th century replacing a Saxon church dating back to the days of King Alfred. The Saxon font still remains. The church is well worth a visit and is included in Simon Jenkin's book 'England's Thousand Best Churches'. The historic Georgian towns of Farnham and Odiham are only 3 miles away.
The south coast including Portsmouth, for ferries to France, is a comfortable 45 minutes drive.
There are a number of rooms to choose from, ranging from a single bedroom, through to the luxury suite with ensuite facilities. Malcolm and Jenny make it their objective to ensure that your stay is as relaxing as possible. Whether you are on short term business in the area, or are looking for a more permanent stay, your stay is sure to be enjoyable. Memorable breakfasts include traditional English, home baked bread, fresh fruit salad and Crondall Bell Ringers marmalade. Please enjoy browsing our site, and we look forward to seeing you soon! Peperstiche is a non-smoking establishment.
